WEDDING WEDNESDAY: Over the Rainbow

After seeing Keileigh’s red Dorothy shoes and these pictures, I instantly got the feeling that this wedding was about more than a WEDDING — it was about celebrating two people incredibly in LOVE — even more than just in LOVE, but two people who are Over the Rainbow for each other. (OK, that’s corny, but I challenge you to find a description for their love once you see these pictures!)

Keileigh & Shane have been together for awhile (I’ll be quiet here in a sec and let Keileigh tell the story), and the one thing I’ve noticed in all of these pictures is that they made this wedding about their unique personality together.  Fun little elements and details, and notice the depth of emotion in these pictures — from elated smiles to funny moments (check out the photo booth pic, it cracks me up!), from tearing up to sobs…I just love the way Ardent Photography in Laramie captured these moments.  It makes me feel like I was there too.  These two were celebrating a new chapter in their lives together, and they threw their hearts into it, you can tell — I’m honored that we can shine a spotlight on this heartfelt wedding.  CONGRATULATIONS you two — you deserve every happiness in the world!  Now I’ll hold true to my word and shut my yap and let Keileigh tell the story… 🙂

Our ceremony and reception were both held at Hidden Valley Picnicground.  We tried to be really creative in how we did everything. Rather than the classic ceremony music we chose “Men in Black” by Will Smith for the guys (and Shane’s sister was a groomswoman), “The Way you Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson for the girls, and then “Wouldn’t it Be Nice”  by The Beach Boys for the bride.  When we walked back down the aisle, we walked down to “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” by Thompson Square.  Part of our creativity included a photo booth for guests to use (provided by Ryan Sprague).  However, our most creative part was for sure our first dance.  We started with the song “Then” by Brad Paisley but after the first chorus it changed to “What Was I Thinkin'” – Dierks Bentley and we finished out the dance in full country swing style!! I think that will be one of the most memorable parts of our wedding.

However, for me, the most memorable part of our wedding is that we both finished our vows with “Always and Forever”.  We’ve said that to each other for about 5 years of our 7 year relationship, but neither of us planned to pretty much say the same thing at the end of our vows! Overall, I’m so excited to see the video and all the pictures because I hear so much happens that you don’t even see!
