WEDDING SPOTLIGHT: British + American = One Lovely Wedding
Thanks to Mandy Carroll-Bell of MC Picture Company in Sheridan for sharing Mr. & Mrs. Caywood’s beautiful, July 16, 2017 wedding day! The lovely bride is from England, and I love the joining of their homelands in these images. The groom and his mother, Sonja Caywood, are both talented Wyoming artists from Dayton, Wyoming. It’s not surprising that these two had a beautiful wedding full of artistry and love.

WYOMING ENGAGEMENT: Katie & Zach w/Pickrel Art & Photography
Meet Katie and Zach. She’s a student at Sheridan college (part time vet clinic employee, part time Starbucks Barista), he’s a ranch hand at the Padlock ranch. They met in Jackson Hole while working on a dude ranch in 2014. These really sweet & hip engagement photos were taken at Rapid Canyon Ranch outside of Sheridan at the base of the Big Horn mountains, and their wedding will also be at the ranch (I like the date pic!). WEDDING SPOTLIGHT: Kate & Dan’s Historic Wedding
Kate & Dan met in college, and recently renewed their friendship. Photography by Mike Roberts of Sheridan was kind enough to share this wedding with us, which was also held on he & his lovely wife’s 47th anniversary! Kate, an artist, had a request of Mike – that the wedding be captured in strictly black & white imaging. (As a side note, Kate’s mother and Mike taught together at Big Horn High School!) Also special – this was the first wedding held in the historic Sheridan Inn following the extensive remodeling that took place over the last year. The renovations allowed for guests to stay in the inn, a feature not available…

There are three brides & three dresses profiled below, from different eras and ages — but all ‘vintage’ in that they have been worn & loved… In these shots below, Kayla’s grandmother first wore this dress in 1958, and Kayla’s mother wore this dress 30 years later, in 1988. It looks lovely on Kayla — and I love to think that now three generations have worn this beautiful dress…(that I think could be very fitting today!) …
