Max & Cecile’s destination Jackson wedding was gorgeous — and full of their own touches and personality! Max & Cecile have friends worldwide, and felt that Jackson made the best choice for their destination wedding. “Deciding on a location was difficult, since both of our families are widely distributed in the United States and Europe,” Cecile writes. “{W}e decided that Jackson, Wyoming, would be an unforgettable one to which many guests would be more than willing to travel. It was also the location that best represented our personalities!”
Thanks to Heather Erson Photography in Jackson for sharing these amazing photos and to Max & Cecile for sharing their story!
OK, so check this out: The dress was purchased the week before Max & Cecile moved from San Diego to Switzerland — she had never tried it on or altered it before the wedding day! Look at how BEAUTIFUL it is on her — talk about a dress MADE for someone! (WOW!)
Their beautiful ceremony was held in a friend’s meadow overlooking Jackson. Friends Bland Hoke and Mark Dunstan created the aspen tree arch.
From Cecile: “From our experience, wedding cakes were beautiful, but often didn’t taste as good as they looked, so we opted for wedding pies instead. Each table had a different kind of fruit pie as a center piece, and the main pie was set up close to the stage. The pies looked beautiful, as though straight out of a French bakery – our guests loved the idea!”
We blogged recently on fun reception gift & entertainment ideas (click on ‘Inspiration’ then ‘Gift Your Guests!’), and this is a fantastic idea! From Cecile:
“My sister organized a game in the middle of the dancing, which I believe should become a tradition. It was a mixture of musical chairs and a scavenger hunt. Twelve guests were to sit in the center of the stage and were given the name of an item that, when the music stopped, they would have to retrieve before being able to sit back down to (n-1) chairs. Each “loser” would be responsible for a certain month of the year to carry out a task or favor in honor of the couple. One who was responsible for December sent us a care package in Switzerland full of local goodies we missed!”
