WEDDING SPOTLIGHT: Meggan & Nate

Thank you to Janelle Rose Photography of Cheyenne for graciously providing us with these beautiful images from Meggan & Nate’s June 6, 2015 wedding, the first wedding to be held at the new University of Wyoming, Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.  This facility is a beautiful place to hold your wedding, special event, or simply stroll through and enjoy. This beautiful couple has the support of many friends and family members – guests included Governor Mead and First Lady Carol Mead, and the couple’s family presence, on both sides, is strongly felt throughout Janelle’s images. Meggan’s maiden name is Hathaway (many Wyomingites recognize that name!), and Nate’s father is a long time member of the Wyoming legislature. Personally, I adore Nate’s mother, Karen Nicholas, who was my second grade teacher (and first teacher I had after moving from a two room, rural Wyoming schoolhouse to Laramie public schools in 1986. Nate’s sister Kim is an OB/GYN and I enjoy working with her every week when I scan the future of Laramie’s citizens. I love how small Wyoming can be sometimes!

But I digress … and I haven’t even touched the topic of the bridesmaids’ shoes yet! (J’adore!) I recall Kim sharing with me the work Meggan & Nate put into finding their perfect wedding location, and we discussed just how beautiful the UW Gateway Center would be for their event. I personally think it was a home run — the warm lighting & graceful ambiance, with a powerful hint of Wyomingesque flair fit for families with strong and long-term ties to the Cowboy State … a romantic and touching way to celebrate the joining of two lives and families.
