WEDDING SPOTLIGHT: Sarah & Spencer

I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this wedding, shared with us by Ardent Photography of Laramie! Sarah was one of our Job’s Daughters over 10 years ago now… I know she probably won’t be thrilled that I share this story, but whenever I think of Sarah, I think of our state conference when she was around the sixth grade age. She had just placed first place in our Fine Arts competition for her violin solo, and had the opportunity to play her piece in front of an auditorium of people. She and I were standing backstage waiting for her to go on, and she was shaking like a leaf…but she went on, took a deep breath and played beautifully from memory, without a hiccup. I was so impressed! I knew this was a very special young lady…and now she’s married! I still can’t believe it. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Spencer yet, but knowing Sarah to be an outstanding young lady from an outstanding family, I’m quite sure that Spencer is equally outstanding.

Another thing that I love about Sarah are her awesome parents… Her dad, Mr. Ferguson, was my ninth grade Civics teacher, and one of my favorites. He was always ready with a joke, but he is also one of the most talented singers I have ever heard. I was excited to see that 

he and his long-time duet partner, Mrs. Aragon, performed at his daughter’s wedding… (And no, I still can’t call my teachers by their first names.) Sarah’s mom, Peggy, is a dear friend and a very talented nurse. She was wonderful to work with in our Job’s Daughters bethel, very organized and always keeping me on track. When I had my children, Peggy was a priceless resource on lactation and infant care. I just can’t say enough good things about this family.

I also have to add that I’m loving these golf-inspired details… Be sure to check them out! The wedding was held at Laramie’s beautiful St. Matthew’s Cathedral, with the reception at the historic Ivinson Mansion in Laramie, a popular wedding destination. Ardent captured the property beautifully!
